The closer your keywords are to the beginning of the title, the better your chances of a high rank.  However, being overly generous with your use can result in penalization from the algorithm. Use them cautiously, effectively and only, when relevant.
  4. Be Comprehensive: Rather than matching content with singular keywords, Google now gives priority to pages that match the meaning of the search sentence. Being comprehensive can help you stand out and achieve success. Furthermore, your content will be relevant to the user – one of the best ways to ensure repetitive engagement and clicks on your site.
  5. Check your Grammar: While this seems redundant, grammar is an essential indicator of good quality work. Well-written, error free work is a signal to Google that your content is worth sharing with their users. Programs like Microsoft Word or Pages provide spelling and grammar checks, but it can be beneficial to look into programs like Grammarly for additional review.
  6. HTML: An organized HTML markup makes a happy search engine. Search engines like Google rely on HTML to understand what your content is actually about. Cleaning up your HTML code does not have to fall on you alone – sites like WordPress have plugins that can help you clean and optimize your HTML.
  7. Keep your Content Unique: While it’s easy to duplicate content, it can be harmful for your site. Google appreciates uniqueness and rewards it by improving your rankings. Sites like Copyscape can help you double-check your work. A good way to keep your content unique is to utilize UGC or user-generated content.
